INTRO: I AM LAZY BUT CREATIVE A lot of lawyers are now talking about NFT IP & licensing issues. I’m not much of an IP lawyer or NFT collector, but I did write a previous thing about NFTs here, and I worked with Rarible for a while and helped them draft
One nit-pick you don't need to store a separate hash of the license, you can just hash the image and the license together and make the license part of the NFT. That saves on space but unfortunately still changes standards because ERC-721 doesn't store any hashes even in the optional metadata.
Hello World, it looks like we are connected by the mind. We start associating NFT and License in a "hand-made way" at first --> www.tokenart.org. You can see here an explanation of the different kind of License we've elaborated. Now we are automating it on a platform for IP Management right and with this idea of forking legal NFT standard (https://tokenart.app). This project is in the same mood than your idea with OKNA community to give governance right to users over Tokenart Licenses and Tokenart protocol.I don't find your contact on Substack so feel free to come and talk on Tokenart discord https://discord.gg/nCVNB9YYdJ (Clem#2543)
